Drivers, Operations | Location: Modesto/ Sacramento

DRIVER

Standard Event Rentals a leader in the Modesto/ Sacramento event production and rental industry is seeking drivers with a potential to grow into crew team leaders. We are currently looking to fill multiple positions. You will be responsible for ensuring that deliveries, installations and pickups are completed accurately and on time. Shifts are varied with some temporary positions, and drivers are needed virtually 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We work extensively throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Work with Operations Department and Dispatch Team to execute daily delivery and pick-up;
Interact with clients on-site and provide excellent customer service to ensure that the clients order is complete and accurate;
Loading and unloading of trucks on-site, including product ranging from linens and china to greenery and furniture;
Ability to direct a crew of installers to meet the client’s needs.

Requirements:

Have Commercial Vehicle Driving experience up to 24’ trucks.
Valid CA Driver License and a clean DMV record.
Ability to effectively communicate in English, bi-lingual Spanish is a plus;
A friendly and courteous attitude, and a professional appearance.
Punctuality and dependability.
Ability to follow detailed instructions.
Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds;

Installer

The installer position requires you to provide each customer with great service and a great experience. This means making sure that you are thinking and planning, identifying and solving potential problems, coordinating with the other team members.

Essential Job Duties:

Communicates in a fast paced, high volume, team-based environment and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
Gets the job done well and correctly!
Has high integrity and is honest and fair
Focused, doesn’t get sidetracked or easily overwhelmed
Can work in a team environment and follow the plan of action
Has the ability to think independently, solve problems, follow procedures, coordinate, organize and plan
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Business Sense- Understands that Quality Service and Profitable Business.
Ability to read, write and speak fluent English. Basic Spanish is a plus.
Need to be able to lift 70 lbs. and operate well in a warehouse environment and outside conditions.
Be punctual and on time
Delivering and picking up rentals
Assembling, installing and uninstalling rentals in company warehouse and at customer locations.
Packing, loading and unloading rentals in warehouse and at other locations.
Dress in a professional manner by wearing the provided attire.
Maintain a moderate to high energy level while on the job.
Communicate with client about order and how it will get setup/taken down
Clean up job site after delivery and pickup.
Communicate with logistics per company policy.
Count all inventory on delivery and pickup.
Complete paperwork per company policy.
Serve as point of contact for customer
Must learn installation/strike procedures with all hard goods (tables, chairs, stages, dance floors, pipe and drape, etc.).
Must learn installation/strike procedures for all frame tents and pole tents.
Must learn basic tent accessories such as can lights, twinkle lights, chandeliers and doors.
Must learn proper equipment handling including but not limited to sledgehammers, hand trucks, jack hammers, tent jacks, and pallet jacks, stake pullers.
